Belarusian Monthly Economic Review, №5(128), May 2013

In the 1st quarter, implementation of domestic demand en-hancing policies preserved. However, efficiency of this “growth regime” raises doubts. In particular, measures to fuel household income growth taken in 2012 had a limited impact on cyclical dynamics of real GDP.

Other topics of the issue:

  • Modernization is claimed a new development priority.
  • Growth of investment demand remains unstable.
  • Economy returns to pre-crisis “growth mode”.
  • Non-energy exports decreases given growing non-energy imports.
  • Growth of time ruble deposits of households remains.
